Is there an easier way to setup the S2F for everyone rather than setting up the full software on each person's computer? There are only 7 computers total so I can do it this way but I have print services set up on the Server to deploy the printer to everyone and would like to avoid that solution if possible. The Scan to File feature allows you to scan a document and automatically save it into a specified location on your computer. So to save myself a repeated headache I went this route. I save the scans to each computer so that they have a local copy of the files that they can go back to if they need the files again (their request) on our old printer I originally had a share on the server for that held the scans and I can't tell you how many times I was asked "where are my scans located?" even if I put a shortcut on their desktop. When you click on the scan option on the printer the first selection is scan to file (S2F) so I wanted to make sure that's what was set up.įrom what I can tell there's no option in the web management page for the S2F only the scan to network option so I ended up downloading the full software solution and going into the ControlCenter and defining the options there. I ended up getting it to work (even if I'm not happy with the solution.) So, the reason I'm doing things this way is I'm trying to make things as simple as possible for everyone in the office.
